Boules (French pronunciation: [bul]), also known as Pétanque is the name for a popular range of games similar to lawn bowls, in which the objective is to throw underhand or roll the weighted balls as close as possible to a small target ball known as the jack. The game can be played with or without a run-up to the start line, and is a fun game suitable for all ages and skills. The Hillington set is made from durable plastic and includes 2 balls in each of the 4 attractive and bright colours for 8 balls in total. The 73mm boules are filled with water, to give extra weight and more flex than solid plastic, and includes a smaller white jack ball and convenient carry case.
Each boule is approximately 73mm diameter, holding around 0.2m of water. The white jack is approx 30mm and the carry case is 28cm x 18cm x 3cm
